Transmutation News – December 2016

transmutation news december 2016 1200x630

Most of the dedicated email I sent out after the day after the election in the United States was actually what I had written for the December Transmutation News. So I begin again.

The big topic of conversation in America and many parts of the world has to do with how to create unity out of the division so many are feeling globally. This conversation comes up in every election that occurs in most countries. For there is always going to be part of the population happy with the results and part who are dissatisfied. So the conversation turns to, “Now we must heal the division and create unity.”

But the ego does not know about true unity. For the nature of having an ego is that it feels separate. The ego tends to be divisive by nature. If we want to experience true unity we must go beyond the ego and recognize our authentic self which is spirit. It is our spirit that experiences a state of oneness and unity.

We have been going through a long initiation which will continue. The road is filled with twists and turns. Sometimes we think we have arrived at the bottom only to find that we can sink deeper. But when we surrender to our inner spirit it always carries us through when we surrender to it. Our inner spirit is like a giant sunbeam, star, or moonbeam that lights our way.

The more we can drop into the light of our spirit the more we can step out of a place of division and the more our path is lit that shows us how to walk out of the depths and ride a wave of grace.

This is why it is so important to teach children, our loved ones, and others in our communities that who we are beyond our skin is spirit and divine light. This is our authentic self.

As I keep repeating  the new dream manifests when the dismemberment is complete. And none of us are privy to the knowledge on the timing. But again it is our inner spirit that carries us through the dismemberment.

I journeyed on any words I could share that might be new and helpful to those of you reading the Transmutation News. I received an interesting message from my helping spirits.

They shared that in the end of our lives we will see that who we are on a personality and ego level was just a role in a play.

What will matter at the end of our lives is how does the Earth perceive our love and actions toward her. How does the Earth perceive you? How have you touched her and connected with her?

When I was really little I would play outside, and I simply could not believe how beautiful the Earth was. I was living in Brooklyn which is a urban environment.  But still I was so stunned by the exquisite beauty of the Earth. I remember this so well – my excitement when I would go out to play.

When I was in my late thirties I was having a difficult time. I decided to consult with a psychic who I knew. The first thing he said to me was do you remember how excited you were when you were little about the beauty of the Earth. You would jump up and down in excitement. He said do you remember – because the Earth remembers and has always loved you for recognizing her beauty. I was amazed that someone else could see this.

We talk about wanting to protect and defend the Earth. There are many paths we can take. We can become activists. We can also integrate our spiritual work into the activism work we do. And some people will focus more on the spiritual work. It all joins together to make a difference.

But ask yourself the question: Have you opened your invisible eyes, ears, and inner sense of feeling to communicate with the Earth? The more you do this the stronger your psychic senses become whether you become more clairvoyant, clairaudient,  clairsentient, or a combination of these. As I shared in the past when you strengthen your psychic senses the stronger the work you do on all levels becomes. For you are guided in ways that are beyond the rational. When the veils part between the visible and invisible miracles can and do happen.

As you do this you connect more deeply with the Earth and the web of life. At the end of your journey here the Earth will remember you as one who loved, honored, respected, and protected her. The Earth is alive and has a spirit. She knows when she is being loved.

The full moon is December 13. To start our full moon ceremony focus on something you love about life, nature, the Earth. Let that love expand your heart and help you to set a strong intention. And then let us join our expanded hearts together and radiate the brilliant love of our divinity to flow deep into the earth creating a radiant root system of light and then around the Earth to bring light into the shadow.

If you are a new reader of the Transmutation News please read “Creating A Human Web of Light” on the homepage.

Last December we did some ceremonial work together to welcome in the solstice. This December I would like us to do some work where you live and then also in the non-ordinary realms.

The solstice is on December 21. We welcome in winter in the Northern Hemisphere and summer in the Southern Hemisphere. You can join into this non-ordinary ceremony at any time of the day as we are working outside of time and the power of our collective energies build as people keep joining in throughout the day.

december 2016 1200x630

Last December we began to create a space in the invisible realms where we can join together to do some ceremonial work together.

Perform your preparation work and close your eyes and begin to travel into the invisible realms. Start to create a path from the room you are journeying or meditating in. You might find yourself walking down a path that is surrounded by tall, beautiful, strong, and healthy trees. The earth you walk on is fine and you are stepping on rich dark soil. You can feel your footsteps making an impression on the earth. As you walk you listen to the beauty of the sounds in nature and take in the exquisite fragrances shared by the local trees, plants, and air which gives us life. Is there grass growing? What other nature beings are in this place? You can even experience how the air tastes. Notice if there is a body of water in this place, and if you can hear running water. Feel the power of the sun as it is setting and the stars and moon above start to shine their beautiful light.

As you walk feel your heartbeat and just notice what you are feeling. For many years you have been working in a virtual reality with people from all over the world. We have taken the time to open our hearts in love and give gratitude to each other. At the same time it is important to feel like you are connected to a family of like-minded souls who do everything possible to be in service to others and to the Earth. What does it feel like in your heart to be connected to such a community of like-minded souls? And when we engage in ceremonial work how do you want to express your love, gratitude, and respect for each of us as well as the helping spirits who continue to partner with us in our work.

As you continue to walk you arrive at a large clearing. Use your imagination to see, feel, hear, smell, and taste all that is around you in this clearing.  Step fully into this clearing rather than watching your journey/meditation/daydream as if it was a movie. Be here now. Give thanks to all the helping spirits you continue to work with who are now also part of our circle.

As you enter the clearing you will be met by a guardian spirit who will cleanse you on a spiritual level. This compassionate spirit might cleanse you with incense, or a feather, or sing over you, or touch your hair, or whisper a message into your ear. Be open and know these are helping spirits who wish to help you feel unburdened by your ordinary thoughts and concerns.

Once you have been cleansed step into the clearing. Notice there is an altar here where people have been leaving gifts, offerings, and even your prayers for yourself, others, all of life and the Earth. Please add to bringing gifts to our altar over time when you feel called to visit such a place of power where you can pray and find your center.

In this stunning place in nature there is a beautiful fire that is burning in the middle tended by helping guardian spirits. Take your place around the circle. You can drum, rattle, sing, and/or dance as you do this. Feel the positive energy and love that is being shared. And begin to look around the circle to gaze into the eyes of our community.

Let us welcome each other and smile and greet each other by extending the love emanating from our hearts. Feel your feet on the earth supporting you. Again open all your senses.

Smell the smoke of the fire and listen to the sound of the fire crackling. Look into the beauty of the fire who always reads our hearts and not our minds. With your heart experience any messages fire has for you.

Put your drum or rattle down and let us hold hands together. Let us feel the strength and tangible energy and strength of our circle. Once you feel the love, support, and power of the circle drop hands. Travel within and experience your inner starlight, sunlight, inner moon light and let that light flow through your body. Let us celebrate the return of the light. With your hands facing the center towards the fire, start to tone the song of the universe. Let our toning support our light traveling to each other, to our loved ones, to our communities, and all around the world touching all in the web of life.

We tone together until as a group we start to end and fade out. Start to slowly open your eyes. Feel the sensation of peace as you have expanded out of ego and into your divine self. Experience yourself. And then once again look around our circle.

Let us wish everyone a joyous solstice and begin to take our leave. We have our starting place for our ceremonies to come. Say goodbye to our group, the fire, all the elements and helping spirits. Let the helping spirits know our work is done for now. And give thanks to all the helping spirits that guide you in your life.

Walking down the same path that you took to arrive at this place return to the room you are in now.

Open your eyes and feel yourself deeply rooted to the Earth, and take a few deep grounding breaths. You are back fully filled with radiance and the blessings of our circle.

After you have completed your ceremony in non-ordinary I would like to ask you to go out into nature and find a stick, a rock, or some other nature object such as a shell that you use. Pick up a stick or rock that calls to you. Hold the object from nature and really feel its texture and its life force. Talk to it about your wishes and dreams for the Earth and for your communities. Blow in your wish and your blessings. Give thanks to this power object for working in partnership with you to pray for all of life. Leave this object empowered with your prayers and blessings in nature – in your backyard, a park, give it to the ocean, a lake, a river, etc. Really focus on your love for life and your intention to be of service to all of life during this great time of change.

Last month I asked that you create a rattle or use one you already have to rattle for a few seconds each day in behalf of our circle. We want to keep creating a strong tangible energy that has no weak links. Please continue this practice. If you want to read what I shared about this practice last month please take a look at:

If you have felt called to create a prayer tree in your home or community, this would be a great time to add prayer ties/ribbons to the tree filled with love, prayers, wishes, blessings. I have written about this practice over the last few years on this column but also in some of my books. Most recently I wrote about in Walking in Light and also Speaking with Nature (co-authored with Llyn Roberts).

As we end the year it is time to thank the generosity of spirit of our translators. For they put so much work into helping to bring our important spiritual work into an expanded spiritual community. Let us close our eyes and send blessings to each one and extend deep thanks and gratitude to:

Transmutation News – November 2016

transmutation news november 2016 1200x630

The November Transmutation News obviously is coming to your inbox before the Presidential election in the United States. So, we do not know what the end result will be. We do know the campaign has been quite disturbing. We have so much at stake right now, and it is amazing to watch how the campaign is playing out.

We have readers from many different countries reading the Transmutation News. And although you might not feel connected to the election here in the U.S., the result will affect the entire world collective.

No matter what happens in the election please remember to:

Stay focused

Stay positive

Stay centered

Let us stay on track with our work. We must not allow ourselves to get distracted.

If I feel a need to, I will send out an inspirational dedicated email after the election is over. And of course, I will post something on my Facebook pages.

And then in November people in the United States celebrate Thanksgiving. I write the same thing every year and will continue to do so. Celebrating life should be something we do each day. It should be embedded into our daily ceremonial life. For life is a ceremony. And one of the fundamental elements of all ceremony is gratitude.

In order to experience the natural state of reciprocity everyday must be a day of thanksgiving. We must wake up every morning and start by giving thanks for our lives. And then we must reach deeply into our hearts and from a place of appreciation for all in the web of life state what we are grateful for. I always wake up and give thanks for the spirit of the land where I live, the helping ancestors of the land and my own ancestors for giving me life. I continue by giving thanks to Earth, Air, Water, and Fire as the sun for giving that we need to thrive. I honor the nature beings that live in all the elements. And I honor the hidden folk that caretake the Earth along with us. Imagine the possibilities if everyone in the world did this on a daily basis. Imagine how life on this Earth would change.

As such a large collective focuses on giving thanks during this month we can fuel the power of love and light as we join in such an energy.

We can bring increased power into our full moon ceremony of Creating a Human Web of Light. The full moon is on November 14. Let’s start building an energy of love and light that creates a vibrant fabric of reality alive with a new dream for the Earth and all of life. Let’s radiate our light, love, and gratitude together as we weave a web of light within and throughout the Earth.

For those of you new to reading the Transmutation News please read Creating A Human Web of Light on the homepage. This article contains the instructions for our full moon ceremony.

This month I would like to suggest that we all make a rattle that we can use to connect our field of energy and to call in the strength of our global community. We all know the exponential power that comes from having a strong community focus on healing for others, all of life, and the planet.

Many spiritual traditions use this power of community to support healing. For example, there are ChiGong teachers that teach you how to tap into the entire chi field created by thousands of practitioners who are working to heal themselves individually but also to be able to focus healing energies for the planet.

In our work we have also been focusing our spiritual energies to create a strong field of light and love to be in service to all of life and the Earth.

There are so many examples of different spiritual traditions who work by building a strong collective.

I invite you to make a rattle that you can designate as a spiritual tool to use to feed our global community with light and love.

You can make a very simple rattle by taking an empty bottle and filling it part way with some seeds, or crystals, or small stones, or corn. You can also make a more elaborate rattle. If you have more than rattle you can designate one for supporting the work of our community.

Keep this rattle on your altar at home. And everyday pick it up and shake your rattle while thinking about our global circle and radiating love and light to those in our circle, practitioners who work in different ways in praying for the web of life and the Earth, and of course to the Earth itself.

As you do this on a daily basis you will feel the tangible field created by all of us working together. And just this simple act of rattling while focusing on those being in service to the Earth will strengthen the field of collective energy that has unlimited power to create change and transformation.

Transmutation News – October 2016

transmutation news october 2016 1200x630

There is so much going on in people’s personal lives and in the world right now. It seems like the challenges keep increasing and really test our ability to stay focused and hopeful.

I am receiving so many emails and messages on Facebook from people who have lost faith and cannot hold a positive vision.  People are struggling as we are all being stretched on all levels.

The truth is that your attitude about life creates the dimension of reality you live in. This is not the time to give up. Rather it is time to reflect on your spiritual work in order to take the work to a deeper level and keep moving forward with the practices and ceremonies you feel called to do.

I also feel because there is so much hopelessness and despair in our communities it is time to step out and share some tools that help uplift others and also create ways where people can participate in ceremonies that will be healing for all in the web of life.

Throughout my years of teaching transfiguration, I have been so inspired and in a state of awe of seeing the results of how people heal from the transfiguration work and also how the energy field of substances present at our ceremonies change. And the results are the same whether we work remotely or work together at a workshop.

I have taught two teleconferencing courses through the Shift Network where we have done some remote transfiguration work. You can click on “GDV Camera Results” on the homepage of this site.

In hearing about how people have been healed from the work and being witness to seeing how substances change it brings me to a place of feeling that the possibilities for healing are unlimited. We just have to keep up the work and know in our heart that an invisible world of substance is forming that will lead to positive changes on a larger scale model.

There are so many simple ceremonies that you can lead in your community that don’t require using instructions or wording that would deter people of different faiths from participating in. It is simple to create a prayer or blessing tree and invite people to tie a ribbon loosely on a branch with prayers for oneself, a loved one, for all of life, and the planet. There are blessing ceremonies that can be performed where people make something simple that can be placed in a fire. The power objects made hold our blessings, visions, and prayers that through the rising smoke travel to the power of the universe to manifest our greatest dreams. There are releasing ceremonies that can be done to release blocking beliefs, feelings of hopelessness, and also grief. It is really endless the ceremonies that you can create for loved ones, friends, and people in your community.

By doing this you not only restore feelings of faith, but you bring people into the spiritual global community that is working in many ways to be in service to the Earth.

In this month’s Transmutation News, I want to focus on bringing transfiguration ceremonies into your community. For all religions and cultures have stories about being a light in the world and creating positive change by becoming a positive presence filled with love and light.

When I first started teaching the practice of transfiguration in 2000 I had very complex instructions in teaching this practice. As the years went by, and I led transfiguration ceremonies for large groups at conferences I had to keep simplifying my instructions. This had to do mostly with the time I was allotted for the ceremony. I realized that it is so easy to teach the practice of transfiguration to people of all faiths. For we just have to help people journey within to experience their own inner divine light. When teaching the practice of transfiguration, I use the metaphor of going within and experiencing oneself as a star radiating its light effortlessly or experiencing your inner sun shining through you. And the miraculous healings continued no matter how simple the ceremony was.

To help you create a transfiguration ceremony in your community below is a transcript from a transfiguration ceremony I led for a group of 400 people in Santa Fe in 2015.

Transfiguration Ceremony

We are spirit, if we allow our spiritual light to shine through, we become a healing presence.

Take a few deep breaths…….We do this for every living being and the Earth itself. (I whistled and rattled to begin and then started drumming.)

Take a few deep breaths and let your thoughts drift away.

As you breathe, place your hands on your heart, feel and get in touch with your heartbeat.

With our heartbeat let’s connect with the heartbeat of everyone in the room who have gathered together on behalf of all of life and the Earth.

Let’s connect our heartbeat to the heartbeat of the spirit of the land where we are gathered and the helping ancestors who have loved this land so much and join in with us in our work. Connect with the heartbeat of Mother Earth.

We are body mind and spirit. When you let go of the body and your daily thoughts, your mind, who you are beyond your skin is spiritual light. Before we were born and just a little tiny spark of light looking down on this great earth, we were excited about this incredible adventure of being born into a body and being spirit that can manifest spirit into form just like creator and the creative forces of the universe.

I invite you to travel inside to your inner world just imagining traveling within….. and experience your light. Our light is like the beauty of the night sky, our light is like a star, star light. Stars don’t try to shine, they radiate through you, effortlessly and they don’t say I think I am only going to shine just on this one place on the earth. They don’t send their light, they just shine.

Our light is like the sun……our spirit is like the sun that shines above us feeding all of life with the energy to thrive, unconditionally never asking for anything in return so you might choose to experience your own inner sunlight. Our light is like the flame of life, all of life.

Travel within yourself into your Inner World and experience yourself merging with a star or the sun or experiencing a flame and let that light radiate through you, absorb it into every single cell of your being like a flower that absorbs the sun or a flower, plant or tree that absorbs the rain and soak it in………………………………..

And now allow that light, it is an allowing process, without effort, let that light radiate through you, throughout this place let’s connect our lights together………………………….. Now experience that light radiating within and throughout this entire Earth touching all of life and when you feel like that light is radiating within and throughout the Earth.. I invite you to stand with your hands, palms facing our Earth (I use a photo of the Earth for the group to focus on)…….and as you stand allow that light to effortlessly radiate through you while we tone together the sound of creation………….(For people who do not know how to tone I gave examples of Om or just singing a vowel and letting it flow into other vowels- o ah ooh eee)  whatever comes through you………………………….(group toning)…………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

(3 -4 chimes of chimes to signal it is time to stop toning and then the drumming faded out – I had people drumming with me so I could do the chimes while they faded out the drum. You could just stop the drumming and use some bells or Tibetan bowl or other sound to signal the end of the toning although most groups naturally end the toning at the same time without needing to signal to end).

Take a few deep breaths and be aware of yourself. While it is important to come back and be grounded it is important not to disconnect from our light because we are light.  As you still feel that light radiating through you, experience your body, and the preciousness of being in a body. It is such a gift to be here in a body and to live on this Earth.

Imagine deep roots going down into the earth, grounding you. As you do this feel yourself coming back feeling fully present. Feel your heartbeat still connected to the heartbeat of all life. We do this work for ourselves and we do it on behalf of the web of life and the earth itself. We can all be a presence of healing and create positive change for all of life and the planet.

Ended ceremony and thanked everyone for coming.

Creating a Human Web of Light

You can also take a look at the full moon ceremony I inspire the global community to engage in each full moon. I call this ceremony “Creating A Human Web of Light”, and you can see the write up and instructions on the homepage of this site.

Over the years I have received letters from people of all faiths who have told me how they use the work I describe in “Creating A Human Web of Light” in ceremonies in churches and monasteries.

It is beyond your imagination how uplifting and healing leading such a ceremony is and people who participate are in such deep gratitude for learning such a powerful yet simple practice that can be done to help be in service to all of life. And it also helps to shift people’s perception about events that are occurring. And when we change our perception, we change our reality.

This month I wanted to introduce a journey/meditation to go along with the topic of the results of transfiguration.

A few years ago, I shared a story in the Transmutation News about Laurence Anthony known as the Elephant Whisperer. He lived in South Africa and was known for his work in conservation and also with elephants. When he died on March 7 two herds of wild elephants walked for twelve hours through Zululand to honor him. They stood outside his house for two days after his death.

How did the elephants get the news that Laurence Anthony had died? How is it that animals typically know that an environmental event is getting ready to occur and know to move to safer places where they will not be harmed?

Animals use psychic senses in a way that is quite amazing to watch. And so much research has also been done on how plants and trees also respond to what many would say are human emotions.

With all we know about how plants, trees, and animals are so psychically tuned in we have to wonder when we see them in their radiant light and divinity instead of perceiving them in suffering what do they pick up on? How do they respond to being held in love and light?

I thought this would be an interesting topic to journey or meditate on. In your journey or meditation hold the intention to speak to one of you favorite animals, or plant, or tree and ask them how they feel when we radiate love and light to them during turbulent times. And how do their feelings differ when people pity them and feed the energy of suffering?

I think you will receive some rich information by journeying or meditating to nature beings and learning about the effect of holding all of life in love and light.

The full moon begins on October 15. After exploring how different nature beings are touched by being held in light and love I hope you have a desire to deepen your transfiguration practice. This month do your preparation work with the strong focus of expanding the light you radiate to all of life and the planet. Join together with our global community to weave a beautiful web of light that touches all that is alive. Experience all life forms being uplifted by our work.

Transmutation News – September 2016

transmutation news september 2016 1200x630

Take a bit of time out of your day for a short time of reflection. Get into a comfortable place, take a few deep breaths, and imagine sitting in a favorite place in nature. It can be a place in the country or in a park you walk through. You can also choose to do this exercise outside in nature.

We are shifting once again into a new season. In the Northern Hemisphere we are shifting out of summer and out of winter in the Southern Hemisphere.

As you sit in nature feel the earth you are sitting on and notice any changes in the texture or the fragrance as the season begins to shift. Smell the air and notice if you can pick up any hints of change in how the air feels on your skin and changes in the temperature. Notice if you have been able to sense how the plants and trees are responding to the change in season and if you notice changes in the population of birds, animals, insects, other nature beings where you live. Have you observed how the sunrise and sunsets are moving to a new time and how the moon and stars are shifting positions in the night sky?

Drop in and feel the change inside of you. It has been a long and intense season for so many people around the world. Our hearts have been touched by terrorist, political, and climatic events. Our hearts keep expanding with compassion as so much has occurred that impacts us on deep levels. There is the desire to hold to a positive vision for our world, and when we witness so many challenges it is often tough to keep the faith.

As you feel the change in the air notice how you are feeling. I always feel such a tangible change in the air when we begin to greet a new season. It is not something I can describe in words, but I can feel such a difference as the air touches my skin and as I breathe it in. Reflect on what changes you have witnessed in the past season that have touched your heart. Think back to your reactions and how true you have been able to stay to honoring your emotions but also performing your spiritual work to keep a good dream alive and transmute the energy behind any challenges you have been effected by.

Travel inside to your inner landscape and open your invisible eyes and take in all you have planted and what has grown in your inner garden. What type of care does your garden need as we move into a new season?

As we move into the season of fall/spring it is good to take some time to reflect on the season we are spiraling out of. It is also important to reflect on how we participated in life and all that is happening in the world. For once again change is in the air that brings new possibilities as nature reflects back to us a time to let go of what needs to be returned to the earth to be composted into fertile ground and what seeds we want to plant in our inner and outer landscape.

When you feel like you have taken the time you need to tune into the subtle or not so subtle changes within and around you bring your awareness back to the present.

In past columns of the Transmutation News, I have usually asked you to merge with the earth where you live during the changing season. For you experience the same changes as the earth does. And to merge with the earth gives you a sense of the inner changes that are occurring. We often numb ourselves as we get lost in the flow of the collective trance and just go from season to season without opening our invisible and visible senses to the shift in our inner our outer world. And when we take time to notice how our inner world is changing it improves the quality of our participation in life instead of letting life pass us by.

This month in my journeys I have felt a strong pull from water to focus on how the tide and current of our life is shifting as we move into fall or spring. It is a good time to see what messages water has for us as we celebrate the Equinox. How the shifting season impacts the currents brings information for us on how to flow with the changes rather than resist them.

Pick a body of water that you would like to connect with and learn from. Water reflects back the nature of our soul and gives us life. Our waters within are impacted by the change in seasons just like the waters around us.

Listen to some music and tune into a body of water you wish to connect with. You might wish to merge with water and let it inform you about the changes ahead. Or you might wish to imagine yourself sitting beside a body of water that you wish to communicate with. Once we move into the invisible realms we can communicate easily with nature. You might also go outside and sit with a body of water and allow the stillness, or the waves, or the running water give you a message of how to attune to the change in season.

On September 22, which is the Equinox I invite you to create a small altar with representations of the elements. Spend some time in silent meditation reflecting on your love, honor and respect for the elements. Breathe in love and breathe out love. Sing to the elements and honor them as we move into a new cycle of life. After you have breathed appreciation and sung love into the elements bring them to a place in nature and leave them outside allowing the love you expressed to sink in and become one with the earth.

When you are outside, continue to sing to the elements and the nature spirits. All life sings and loves to be sung to. Touch the ground beneath you and feel your energy attune with that of the earth. Reach your hands up to the air and let the breezes or wind play with your fingers.  If there is water where you live touch the water with your eyes closed and feel the softness, beauty, and life force merging with you. Reach your arms up to the sun and absorb the power while singing a song in gratitude.

Our prayers and love do have meaning and do affect the vibration of the web of life in ways we cannot notice with our visible senses. But the effect is real.

When intense events occur on the planet, sometimes the simplest spiritual practices we can do uplift us and have an impact on raising the vibration on the planet.

If you have a personal altar at home, make a change to your altar marking the movement into a new time of life. It is always good to change your altar to reflect outer changes that are occurring.

If you are cycling into fall reflect on what you are ready to release in your life creating more space in your inner landscape. What do you need to clean up in your life? If you are greeting spring, let your imagination move you to what new practices or dreams you would like to set into motion.

Most of all let us all honor all the invisible helping spirits who continue to be by our side and guide us through life. Let us thank our ancestors, and the ancestors of the land we live on, earth, air, water, fire, and the nature beings that live in the elements. Let us honor the hidden folk who caretake this great earth.

Let us put our focus into honoring all of life. This is a way we can join together as a global community in love to greet and celebrate the Equinox and all that gives us life. Remember the power of reciprocity. When we love and honor Nature we are loved and honored in return.

The full moon is September 16. Let us sink deep inside to the radiant light that flows so effortlessly within each of us. This light is as radiant as a diamond and has so many facets. As we allow ourselves to feel our own light while opening our hearts to our global community, we weave a beautiful strong loving tapestry of light within and throughout the earth. Take time on the full moon to feel the subtle fullness of energy in the collective as so many thousands of people join to work together in behalf of the Earth. We have more spiritual strength when we can feel the tangible nature and energy of our spiritual collective. As we keep up this practice with love, concentration, persistence, patience, and focus the frequency of the web of light and the web of life becomes vibrant in a way that allows a new dimension of life to be born into our world.

If you are a new reader of the Transmutation News please read “Creating A Human Web of Light” on the homepage of this site.

I join our circle in wishing you all a joyous Equinox! May all of life know how much love and light is holding them in honor and respect at this time on the planet.

Transmutation News – August 2016

transmutation news august 2016 1200x630

I can start every Transmutation News speaking to the turmoil we are seeing all across the planet today. And since I started writing the Transmutation News I have been writing about how the fabric of reality is unraveling. And this continues. It is no surprise as  we observe humans getting more lost in the collective trance that the material world can lead people into it. Yes, there are people who are waking up out of the trance, but not at the levels needed to turn the quality of life around on the planet.

I am a dreamer. And I still do my dreaming work to dream into being the global community becoming so spiritually strong and so focused that we can shift the current vibration on the planet. But we are not there yet. I just believe we can do it if our priority in life becomes our spiritual work, and we truly dropped into the power of focus. The ancient ones knew how to focus and concentrate in ways that did create huge dimensional changes.

So we keep continuing our work in any way we can and in how we have been been guided.  And we ride the waves that our work produces and creates.

I journeyed on what practice I can suggest for us to do together this month. I was told to journey or meditate to either the planet Earth or pick an element of earth, air, water, fire and ask to be told a healing story.

For there is a healing story and healing words to be shared by the Earth and the elements. The elements are our allies.

In our work we give thanks daily to the Earth and the elements for our lives. In my journey I was shown it is time to let the Earth, air, water, and fire inspire us.

If you know the practice of shamanic journeying you can journey to the Lower World, the Middle World, or the Upper World to meet the spirit of the Earth itself or one of the elements and ask for a healing story. If you do not journey put on some spiritually expansive music and simply hold your intention and you will receive the healing story from the element you wish to communicate with. You can sit in nature and let nature speak to you. You can take out crayons or paints and let images of a healing story be transmitted through you. You can do the same with writing. Write your intention on the top of a page close your eyes half way and just allow your hand move in an automatic fashion while you become a hollow bone for the spirit of an element to write through you a story that will bring you to a place of awe and gratitude. You can play some music and dance the healing story you are gifted with.

I think we all might learn something that can inspire us to keep us focused on our work and also learn how much support the Earth and the elements that give us life have to share with us.

In the July Transmutation News I asked people to share any wisdom that came through the journey work I suggested.

If you did not have the opportunity to read the July Transmutation News here is a link to the column:

Here is some of the information that readers in our global community felt called to share. I did a bit of editing and deleted everyone’s last names. I am very grateful for your responses and your willingness to share with our community as we all have pieces of the puzzle to share.

Hi Sandra & Sylvia

This is the information that I received regarding this important question keeping the invisible realms clear of “thought pollution created by our own emotional and mental baggage.”

The energy level that contains the pure and clear messages of love and healing for our planet radiate at very high levels of vibration. It is like a radio tower transmitting radio waves on the radio station of love . If we are not at that same energy/vibration level, we will not be able to receive the messages of healing and love as clearly as we’d like.

We will get some “static” on our inner “radios”. But, we are not able to “pollute” those vibrations – we simply won’t be able to connect completely with that level of pure & positive energy. The Source energy that transmits those vibrations is patient and loving, but is not damaged by our emotional turmoil.

The sun continues to shine clearly above the clouds, even though we may be experiencing our own inner emotional turmoil of rainstorms, hurricanes and tornadoes.

…smudging was the indication I had received for my patient as I had not well prepared my sacred space , so it REMINDED ME TO DO IT PROPERLY …that’s it

From: Hana

Before the journey, cleanse the hands ritually, with the intention of washing away the energies from here.

In the journey, rabbit came and led me down the rabbit hole. Down the long corridor we came to the cave of the ancestors. A shaman met me at the entrance. I asked him the question at hand, and he indicated that we must come through all four elements to be cleansed of all energies. We had already come through the earth element. Now  we must travel through fire, water, and wind to be completely cleansed and purified.

I hope that helps.

From: Nancy

I have thought about this issue for a long time.  I have a power animal (this one does not want to be revealed- some others don’t mind) who helps me a great deal with home and family issues.  I have some family members with severe communication impairments.  I  communicate with them a great deal from a spirit level and frequently walk with one foot in the physical world and one foot in the spirit world, which facilitates this.  This power animal helps me clear to avoid letting material concerns seep into the spirit realm, both in daily life and when I go on a shamanic journey.  By seeing this power animal’s clearing technique frequently with my inner eye, I have gradually become able to quickly ask for clearing when needed and instantly feel the clearing.  In addition to this, I very often visualize everything, including material world problems, completely permeated with bright spiritual light and love, so that even material world problems can show their spirit aspect and the spiritual path through them can be revealed. For me doing a little rattling facilitates this, but is not necessary if it’s not convenient.  I am seldom in a position to completely remove myself from material concerns for very long, so techniques like this that can be used even in the midst of daily concerns have been of great value to my ability to do positive spiritual work.

From: Jennifer

I meditated on Sandra’s July newsletter. I came up with parables but they were long stories, too long to share, but fun for me to read over.  The upshot of the stories is that I think this space of light and spirit can absorb people’s emotions rather easily, whether it be anger, fear or depression. But the space of light and spirit can’t absorb the unhealthy ego so easily. It can absorb or integrate the ego but not an unhealthy ego.

What I mean by this is I see some internet psychics and teachers who I think are actually genuinely psychic but have adapted belief systems, like new age beliefs, that they teach people.  This means their belief system is intertwined with their psychic abilities.

I have drawn and written many stories, but so far my spirit or my inner self has never taught me about law of attraction, which is a common new age teaching. What I am taught by my stories is about focus and will power and also lessons in synchronicity and receiving help from Love.

Thank you for letting people contribute!

From: Katharine

Helping Ancestral Spirit of Shamanism appeared as Snake/Woman/Goddess who shared that humans have been influencing wherever they are for a very long time, sometimes wisely, sometimes insanely, developing a strong habit of dominance.

She advised that to support the beauty of life and keep the field of inspiration clean to follow the Earth’s breath.  The Earth breathes Life anew.

Throughout the day/night knowingly breathe in the pure air of the New Earth.  Let your out breath go where it will as a blessing.

Create a habit of knowing that you are drawing in pure New Earth air.  This will lead you to being one who uses human dominance to purify yourself and support the field.

Dear Sylvia:

When I tried to go to the Forum to share, I received a message that the link did not require authentication and it may not be safe.  We have a strong firewall which is good.  At first I thought, well perhaps I am not meant to share the message I received re letting go of energies in our world so we do not pollute the invisible realms.  But this morning I read the message and felt called to share it.  Of course I also have a tenacious nature and I also know that it is meant for me if not for the Global Community.  Here it is:

First unburden yourself from your ordinary world –  I saw an image of a heavy backpack and letting it fall from my shoulders onto the Earth.  Cleanse yourself by either lying in a shallow stream or stepping under a waterfall.  When done,  see yourself wearing  white clothing.  Light and Purity must be greater than your need for Guidance & Healing.  Use your transfiguration and come as Light/Spirit only into the Invisible Realms, emptied of your Life.

When I trained with Alberto Villoldo, when we began our Journey, we always cleansed in water first.  Then when I trained with John Perkins, he shared the backpack unburdening.  Now I am training with Sandra and have learned transfiguration.  All three are included and then the most important is surrendering our personal needs to keep the Invisible Realms pure.

Many Blessings,

From: Samuki

Hi Sandra, here is the result of my journey in response to your question.

During my journey a scout-person came to my encounter to escort me. I was shown an immense plain. At the horizon I saw the profile of a distant mountain. I was told to walk the whole way through. Under way the person escorting me called an eagle, which took away my backpack, then another eagle took another piece of baggage, and further eagles came to take all the rest away from me, piece after piece, until I was entirely light and freed of any charge.
Arriving finally at that mountain. I was expected and smudged with something like sage. I was invited to enter. In complete darkness I waited fore my senses to accustom, but no vision, no sound came… I was however fully aware of presences around me. I realized then that even my senses had been neutralized. I could communicate directly from soul to soul(!). This was an utmost unusual feeling!

The message was that we need to journey deep in the other reality to arrive at a real and authentic communication. The long way we have to walk may allow us to leave our ordinary baggage behind.

On my question how to keep the invisible realm clear from our ordinary worries and thoughts, a very simple answer came: everything that we leave there will be absorbed into the vibrations of the invisible world and ‘digested’ !

The full moon is August 18.  Let us deepen our practice, perform our preparation and cleansing work and truly become a giant diamond of light with all of us in our circle as being a facet of this diamond. Let us truly radiate the depth of our spiritual light touching the threads and beams of light from all of us and allowing this light to dance and flow within and throughout the Earth raising the vibration of the web of life and holding all of life in love.

If you are a new reader of the Transmutation News, please read “Creating A Human web of Light” for instructions on our full moon ceremony.

Transmutation News – July 2016

transmutation news july 2016 1200x630

Some of you might have listened to the introductory call for my upcoming course “Shamanic Journeying for Guidance and Healing: Shamanic Practices for Divination, Collective Blessings, and Helping Others”.

I brought up an issue during my intro lecture that I would like to ask us to focus on and try to receive some guidance on.

We all know the potential for the practice of shamanism to heal on personal, community, and global levels. As the practice has been around for tens of thousands of years that speaks to the good results that come from the work. When good results are not seen practices tend to die out.

I have been so passionate about not just teaching individuals the practice of shamanic journeying and ceremony. But I feel my soul’s purpose is to gather people to work together in community to work together to solve problems that we now all face individually and collectively.

Before traditional shamans enter into the invisible realms, they perform a lot of preparation work. This preparation work lifts them out of their humanness and allows them to leave their ordinary thoughts and lives behind so they can enter into a pure and clear field. In this pure field they can work in partnership with the helping and compassionate spirits to weave healing energies, blessings, and positive change that form in the invisible realms and are birthed into manifest form in our tangible world.

I have been reflecting on the importance of stepping out of our humanness and daily concerns as we enter into the field that shamans work in. Otherwise, we are simply carrying our psychic baggage into the invisible realms. And what happens when we do that? I think for one we limit the power of the work that is possible. But I also think we end up leaving energies in this field that were never meant to be intermeshed with anything but the purest intentions and energies of love and light.

This issue has “called to me”, and I feel a desire to explore it with you.  For are we polluting the invisible realms preventing the magical healings that we know shamanism is famous for?

This month I invite you to journey or to meditate on this issue/question. You can always journey to your own helping spirits and ask them about the importance of keeping the invisible realms clear of our human thoughts and emotions. But I thought it would be interesting to consult with the ancestral helping spirits of shamanism.

In May we journeyed to the Cave of Ancestors to work with symbols ancient ancestral spirits left on a cave wall for us. You can visit the May Transmutation News for instructions of how to journey or perform a meditation to the Cave of Ancestors by clicking on the link:

Once you have the instructions of how to visit this cave, set your new intention. The intention I propose is to ask that a helping ancestral spirit of shamanism greet you there to give you guidance. It might be more than one helping ancestral spirit as a group might greet you and volunteer some guidance.

The guidance you are requesting is knowledge about the importance of keeping the invisible realms clear in which we partner with our helping spirits to perform our ceremonial work on behalf of ourselves, clients, loved ones, our local community, or the planet. Ask for ways that you can let go of the energies from your ordinary world that you carry into the invisible realms.

If you do not practice shamanic journeying, you can still join us in this work. You can go into a place of stillness and hold this question and pay attention to any messages or visions you receive. You can take a walk in nature and find a place that calls to you to come and sit. While connecting with the power of nature and the land you can hold your intention and raise your awareness to what is being shown to you. You can also listen to some meditative music and see what comes.

I thought it would be interesting to set up a forum to share the information we have received. If you receive some pertinent and helpful information that you feel our global community would benefit from hearing, you can send in a message to Only do this if you feel called to share. For obvious reasons please keep your messages short and to the point. One of the teachings in shamanism is that less words carry more power. For often the important teachings and wisdom can be lost in too much of the story of the journey.

Sylvia Edwards, our webmaster, will collect the messages. If there are too many messages to share within the August Transmutation News, then we will create a separate section of messages that will be posted. It will appear under the link for the July Transmutation News. Let us join our hearts together to thank Sylvia for helping us share the potent and helpful messages we receive.

I feel this is a deep and rich topic that is important for all of us to explore in our own ways. There is a lot to reflect on as we turn to shamanism to provide answers and help for the times we live in. How can we keep the field where shamans have always worked clean from our ordinary energies that might prevent the manifestation of the true power of our dreaming work?

The full moon is July 19. Let us gather in the pure field of our own inner landscape and reflect on the seeds we have planted in our inner garden and what is growing within us and in the world. Is our garden filled with the energies of light and love that we would like to see manifest in the web of light we are creating? Take time to reflect on if you need to clean up your own inner garden/landscape. And then travel within beyond the world of form into the depths of your own light. Allow your light to radiate through you into the field of energy, the web of light that connects all that is alive on this great Earth.

Transmutation News – June 2016

transmutation news june 2016 1200x630

Our fate is dependent on how much inner work we do. And no one can do this work for us.

In my journeys for this month, I was shown that the upcoming change in seasons will be quite powerful. On June 20 those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere will move into summer and those in the Southern Hemisphere will move into winter. The summer is a time to birth all that has been germinating within. And the winter is a time to slow down and allow our inner landscape to regenerate. This is a rest period before we begin germinating new life again.

It is always important to remember that as we are nature our participation in the changes in the cycles of life is key. For many of us live such fast-paced lives we don’t take the time to deepen our connection with nature and opportunities to fully engage in these powerful changes and the cycles pass us by. We are simply taken along passively in a process where we don’t understand all that is occurring. But when we fully engage and participate in the changes then we have the opportunity to make choices to flow with the changes in a graceful way.

You are all aware of a variety of myths that come from different cultures about the Gods and goddesses sitting in the Upper World looking down on the Earth. And from their vantage point they would watch humans try to navigate life. There would be a variety of conversations that they would engage in while they looked down upon us. Some of the conversations would be filled with compassion for the trials/ tribulations and the suffering that comes with living life. And some would be quite insulting as the Gods and goddesses would criticize humans for the choices we make and how ignorant we can be to the mysteries and also the magic of life.

On June 20, which is the solstice I invite you to join our circle and perform a meditation or shamanic journey where you travel to the Upper World and let us gather as a circle who has the same vantage point and view as the Gods and goddesses of past and present traditions.

Once you get to the Upper World there will be a great amphitheater where you can take a seat. Or you might choose to stand. In the middle of the amphitheater there will be a large pool of water that sits in a beautiful sculpture. And in the ways of the ancients, we can see into the water.  As we look into this great pool, we can see our lives from a different perspective.

I would suggest that you do not try to observe all life on the Earth. It might be too overwhelming to take in all that is happening during this time. But look from above into your own life. As you do this, observe your level of participation in life and the changes of cycles that the Earth is going through. Are you ignorant to the changes and just going along passively as the river of life carries you through life? Or are you slowing down your activity level and choosing to not get caught up in the stress that humans are now living due to all the demands on us. Are you making a choice to ride a different wave and slow down and live life more consciously? Are you making choices that lead you to living at a different vibration and frequency than mass consciousness? And are you fully participating in life?

These are important questions for you to answer. For life is speeding up, the situations in the world are getting more intense, and we can all easily be swept away by the river of life instead of riding the waves and currents with grace and consciousness.

After you have completed your journey or meditation let’s meet in the clearing at the altar we created in December of 2015. We created an altar where we have been leaving gifts, offerings, and prayers for yourself, others, and all of life on the Earth. Let’s meet here after being cleansed by the guardian spirits who care for our sacred ground in this place. Gather around the altar. Bring a gift of a word, thought, or a dream that you can share with our group. Feel the soft earth under your feet, smell the sweet fragrances of the trees surrounding us, listen to the song of nature as everything that is alive sings. You might wish to sing a song of blessing and celebration as we greet the solstice – a new time, a new cycle, a change in our own inner landscape. Feel the positive energy that is being shared and gaze upon the bright faces of our circle. Speak your word, thought, or dream for each other, all of life, and the Earth. Let us bless our circle and the Earth during this powerful time of change. Let us greet the power of this change with excitement for all that it brings for us in our lives. As we do this we become in closer relationship with ourselves which is Nature and with Nature itself.

Remember Nature is Intelligent and always knows how to meet the changes with full participation. We are Intelligent and know how to engage fully in the transitions we face now and those that are ahead.

Let us wish each other and all of life a powerful and joyful solstice.

If you are a new reader of the Transmutation News you can read the December 2015 column by clicking on the link

Let’s also make a commitment to continue to visit our altar and leave gifts and prayers to create a stronger collective. You can bring a gift that speaks to your heart. You can visit the altar for comfort, or as a place to pray, meditate, or journey for yourself, others, for all of life and for the Earth.

June 20 is not only when we greet the solstice. It is also a time when we greet the full moon and continue our work to weave into being a radiant web of light. This light goes deep into the Earth and shines within and throughout the Earth.

Begin by doing your preparation work. To transfigure to a being of divine light that truly has the power to transform we have to embody the true vibration of divine light. Have you been doing this? If not, this is the next step of your work.

Let go of your day and leave your ordinary thoughts and burdens of life behind you. Take time to meditate, sing, dance, walk. Try doing such practices such as tai chi, yoga, or chi gong.  Do something that lifts you out of the dense consciousness of the collective.

Travel within and experience your divine light. This light is brighter than any light you have experienced in this earthly realm. Let this light flow through you as it travels through the root system of the Earth. And let it flow within and throughout the Earth as we weave a shiny and ethereal textured web of life that brightens and lifts all of life into a vibration where unconditional love is manifested into form and into the world.

If you are a new reader of the Transmutation News, please visit “Creating A Human Web of Light” on the homepage.

Please note: Due to my contract with the Shift Network I will need to send out one or two dedicated emails about my upcoming new teleconferencing course. If you do not want to read the emails, simply delete them rather than unsubscribing from my email list. Thanks!

I wish everyone a deep, rich, and joyous solstice!

Special Acknowledgement and Remembering Bob Edgar

I know that all of you who have been reading the Transmutation News for years know that my column was inspired by Bob Edgar. And for those of you who are new readers I would like to share the history of this column.

In 1997 after my visionary novel A Fall to Grace was published, my friend Bob Edgar encouraged me to start a monthly column. He so generously volunteered to help me put up the column each month originally on the website  This website was designed for Carol Proudfoot Edgar (my dear friend, brilliant shamanic teacher and Bob’s beloved wife). I was not on email at the time. So, I would type the column and then fax it to Bob. In 2000 after Medicine for the Earth was published Bob helped me change the column to The Transmutation News. Eventually Sylvia Edwards helped me to create, and we moved the column to this website.

If it was not for Bob Edgar this column would never have come into being. I have been writing the column since 2000, and it has been translated (by volunteer translators) into a wealth of languages so we now have quite the global community reading the Transmutation News and working together.

On February 1 Bob Edgar died. He left such a wonderful legacy behind. He was a known scientist who was once nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. He was a loving husband to Carol, and an inspiration to others in the shamanic community as he participated in shamanic workshops and ongoing circles. And he created a men’s group of his own. He was also an amazing flute player.

What we all remember about Bob was how generous he was in inspiring others and helping others to get their work out. And of course, Bob loved to help others learn how to play the Native American flute. He had his own teaching page on He was such a humble man who did not talk openly about his accomplishments. I am not sure he ever knew how many people he helped and inspired. He was loved by so many. And I am proud to say that Bob was a friend.

I ask us all to take a moment to honor Bob Edgar for helping me to birth the Transmutation News and to have been such a loving and shining presence on this great Earth.

Please hold and send prayers for Bob’s life and his transition on June 4 when there will be a memorial for him done by the University of California, Santa Cruz with support from Carol. There have already been lovely shamanic ceremonies performed for him in Santa Cruz.

Transmutation News – May 2016

transmutation news may 2016 1200x630

Over the months (and years) the focus of the Transmutation News has been directed towards bridging daily spiritual practices into our lives to improve our own health and well-being, that of the communities we live in, and on behalf of all of life and the planet. This of course is work to be continued. For the outer world reflects our inner state of consciousness. And working with spiritual practices is where we have so much power to create change if we really use concentration and focus as I wrote about in April.

So much is unraveling and there is little we can depend on in the outer world for safety. I do not have to go into talking about the unraveling in politics, the economy, the environment, or people’s state of mental health that is leading to violent acts against life.

When we look at different perspectives and let ourselves view different dimensions of reality we can observe through feeling and using our invisible/psychic senses how the vibration and frequency of the Earth itself is changing. And this is all part of the Earth’s evolution.

I think the changing of the Earth’s vibration and frequency is having a huge impact on people’s physical and mental health as unless you are consciously aligning yourself with the new energy you are no longer living connected and in harmony with the Earth.

In a meditation I was guided for all of us to join together to work with the ancient ones to find ways to align with the changing vibration and frequency of the Earth. Of course, spending more time in nature sitting, walking, and/or lying on the ground is one way to harmonize with the Earth’s vibration and heartbeat.

And you can perform a meditation or shamanic journey to merge with Earth to experience the new vibration by becoming Earth.

I was guided for us to use ceremony to visit what I was told is “The Cave of the Ancient Ones” to find ways to align with Earth’s changing vibration.

You can put on some expansive music and listen and just dive into your own inner landscape to find this territory.

You can journey and follow the same path I have given you in the past months to travel to the place where we have been working. Your intention once there is to find “The Cave of the Ancient Ones”.

For those of you who want me to repeat the path to travel on in a journey or meditation here it is:

Choose a day to perform this experience when you can hold a relaxed but focused attitude.  Close your eyes and begin to travel into the invisible realms. As we have done in the last couple of months, walk the path from the room you are journeying or meditating in. Feel the power of the sun as it is setting, and the stars and moon above start to shine their beautiful light.

As you walk feel your heartbeat and just notice what you are feeling. We have taken the time to open our hearts in love to each other. Feel your connection to a family of like-minded souls who do everything possible to be in service to others and to the Earth.

As you continue to walk you arrive at a large clearing. Use your imagination to see, feel, hear, smell, taste all that is around you in this clearing.

Notice the fire burning strong in the middle of the clearing. This is the same fire that has been burning for months receiving the blessings we wish to manifest and the wounds we wish to transform. Step up the fire and listen to the crackling sound and smell the smoke. Sit with the fire for awhile and ask it for a message. Fire is intelligent, alive, and a true source of wisdom. Before moving onto the next step of our work share with the fire a dream for yourself and the planet you wish to see manifest. Feed the fire with the beauty of this dream for all of life.

Now leave the fire and keep walking allowing your own inner compass and intuition to guide you to “The Cave of the Ancient Ones” You will come to a mountain ahead of you with the opening of a cave you can easily step into. You notice when you step into the cave that the earth is red. As you walk further you will notice a fire that is lighting the cave so you can easily see around you. When you touch the walls of the cave you can feel the softness of the red earth. It is like red clay but has a soft and earthy quality to it.

Look around you. You will notice that there are ancient symbols carved into the walls of the cave. These are not symbols you have seen before – except maybe in a dream, journey, or meditation. There are no books that contain or talk about these symbols.

Find a symbol that draws you to it/ calls you to it. One of your invisible senses of sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste is awakened by this symbol.

Put your hands on the symbol and stand and be still as the symbol shares its energy with you. These symbols were carved into the walls by the ancient ones to give us a map of the future and how to align our energies with the changes ahead.

As you feel this energy fully enter your body sit or lie down with your eyes closed. Breathe deeply allowing the key to the wisdom of this symbol to be unlocked as you feel the energy swirling through your body and soul. This knowledge awakens something deep inside of you. This knowledge is how to align yourself with the changing frequency of the Earth. This knowledge speaks to your psyche and the seed of life and knowledge within. This knowledge bypasses your conscious mind as you cannot understand this on a rational level.

Continue to breathe slowly focusing on your breath. And notice how your breath changes as your body starts to change its vibration to align with the knowledge of this symbol that holds the new frequency of the Earth. Deepen your breathing and now to align with the heartbeat of the Earth itself.

Stay here just soaking in what you need. And with a sense of renewed energy and a new gentle vibrational shift choose to leave this place when you feel your work here is done.

Taking your time slowly retrace your steps back to the room you are journeying or meditating in. Keep breathing and experiencing the vibration of the Earth that is now changing and will continue to change over time. Give thanks to the ancient ones who provided these symbols for all of us to be able to work with to harmonize with the new energy of the Earth.

Open your eyes feeling completely grounded knowing you can visit the “Cave of the Ancient Ones” at any time you feel you need to take a time out and realign with the new vibration, energy, frequency, heartbeat of the Earth.

The full moon is May 21. Using the new energy and vibration you are now feeling coursing through your body prepare yourself for your transfiguration work. And let us join our divine light as a global community and pulse our light together within and throughout the Earth lighting up all of life with our beauty, brilliance, and radiance.

Transmutation News – April 2016

transmutation news april 2016 1200x630

We can still wake up from the current destructive dreams that the collective is dreaming into being. But this will take a tremendous amount of mental concentration and focus. This kind of mental energy needed to change the dream is a dormant skill or does not always come naturally for people living in a busy modern-day culture.

Steps can be taken to sharpen our concentration and focus. And nature is such a great teacher to help us exercise spiritual “powers” within that have gone dormant. I cannot encourage you enough to spend more time in nature to heal, increase your level of awareness, and to learn how to tap into your own psychic gifts. Spend time in nature and start to use the practice of Deep Listening to learn what the earth, air, water, and fire have to share with us at this critical time on the planet.

Before you do any journey work or meditation make sure you prepare so that you can step away from your ordinary thoughts and daily activities. You have to pull up the “anchors” to your ordinary thoughts to go deep enough to access the guidance and perform spiritual practices needed to create true change and transformation.

This month I invite everyone to perform a shamanic journey or meditation to a territory in the invisible realms called the “Land of Dreams”. You can put on some expansive music and listen and just dive into your own inner landscape to find this territory. Once you arrive in this landscape request to meet a master or mistress teacher of dreams. With the assistance of this teacher ask to be shown what you are daydreaming into being. Watch your current daydreams all the way through to see the final outcome they lead to. This is a truly enlightening practice. Consult with this wise helping spirit and, ask to be shown what you and also the collective are dreaming into being by the use of your imagination. Once again consult with this helping spirit and ask for practices to use concentration and focus to shift what you daydream about during the day. We truly do use our imagination to create the dream we are living in. If we are not willing to use our concentration, focus, and imagination to shift the dream we are living in then you can see the path ahead. There will be no surprises. We must step up our dreaming work as a collective. We have important work to do as dreamers, and the work can’t wait.

Honoring our dreaming work, let’s perform a simple ceremony this month. Choose a day to perform this when you can hold a relaxed but focused attitude, close your eyes and begin to travel into the invisible realms. As we have done in the last couple of months, walk the path from the room you are journeying or meditating in. You might find yourself walking down a path that is surrounded by tall, beautiful, strong, and healthy trees. The earth you walk on is fine and you are stepping on rich dark soil. You can feel your footsteps making an impression on the earth. As you walk you listen to the beauty of the sounds in nature and take in the exquisite fragrances shared by the local trees, plants, and air which give us life. Is there grass growing? What other nature beings are in this place? You can even experience how the air tastes. Notice if there is a body of water in this place, and if you can hear running water.

Share with the fire a dream for yourself and the planet you wish to see manifest. Feed the fire with the beauty of this dream for all of life.

The full moon is April 22. Let us imagine our divine light being woven together in rainbow colors that embrace the earth and all of life with love. Perform your transfiguration with passion. Combine intention + love + unity + harmony + concentration + focus + imagination to experience your divine light and connect and merge this light with others doing the same.

Transmutation News – March 2016

transmutation news march 2016 1200x630

Once again time is moving quickly, and this month we welcome in a new season of life as we celebrate and honor the Equinox.

In the past couple of months, I have received three requests from readers of the Transmutation News to speak about prayer. They wondered why I did not write more about prayer.

John wrote me the following letter:

Dear Sandra,

I was relieved to read in the latest Transmutation News that you regard shamanic journeying and meditation as equally valid spiritual practices. Over the years I have come to perform fewer and fewer formal shamanic journeys. I have a daily practice that combines meditation and prayer, and communing with all of my compassionate helping spirits is part of that practice. However, I have felt like I have been cowardly and/or lazy for not doing “real” journeys with drumming. And I have felt like I have in some way let down the various (incarnate) shamanic teachers who have been generous with me in their teaching and mentoring over the years. So I thank you for taking some of that burden from me with your affirmation of meditation as being just as valid a spiritual practice as traditional shamanic journeying.

I was very curious that your comments about meditation and journeying did not include anything about prayer. Clearly asking a compassionate helping spirit in the course of shamanic work for guidance or assistance is the same process as asking for the same things from a deity or other discarnate entity the way that many people do when they pray. The only significant difference I can see is that shamanism allows a virtually infinite number of entities to be the object of one’s requests. I imagine that some practitioners of traditional theistic (especially monotheistic) religions might be offended by the notion that what they are doing when they pray is essentially the same thing that a shamanic practitioner does without calling it that. And I wonder if your not mentioning prayer is because you do not want to offend such people.

Thank you for all you do on behalf of the world.

There is no doubt that prayer is a powerful healing force in our personal life and also for the planet. And I imagine that everyone who reads the Transmutation News prays and also has their own way of praying.

The purpose of the Transmutation News has been to teach people how to live a conscious way of life so that we become a living prayer, and we embody prayer during each minute of our lives and throughout all the activities we engage in during the day.

For we can pray all we want, but if we do not live a conscious way of life then our prayers will not have the true transformative power that is possible. Life is also a ceremony. And we have a tendency to separate our prayers and performing our ceremonial work from our daily way of being in the world.

The Transmutation News has been based on the Medicine for the Earth work I teach, and the core teaching principle of this work is it is who we become that changes the world and not what we do. And that we have to live from a place of love and unity. We must focus and concentrate on the practices, prayers, and ceremonies that do create change. We must find harmony within and live from that place as we use our imagination to create the world that holds the goodness of life for all living beings and the Earth herself.

In our culture we tend to separate our spiritual work and our prayers from how we live our life. And the key is the integration of walking on this great Earth with each breath we take as a living prayer.

Our inner world is being reflected back to us in our outer world. So, we must become artisans of our inner landscape and nurture the soil and plant the seeds that create the lives we want for ourselves and the world.

I am not trying to discount the power of prayer on any level. But to only pray and not take responsibility for the personal work we need to do to transform our own lives and that of the world might not lead to the end outcome we are hoping for.

Yes, miracles do happen with prayer. And I know many of us have witnessed these miracles in our own lives and in the lives of others.

But when we get down to praying for peace in the world, we have to be a walking prayer of peace. We have to learn how to transform the energy behind our thoughts and emotions to an energy of peace. We have to plant seeds of peace in our inner garden. We have to become peace. We have to be able to engage all of our senses to imagine people living in peace. And this takes a lot of personal work on our behalf that must be integrated with prayer, ceremonies, and other spiritual practices we might do.

Over the 16 years of writing the Transmutation News I have written monthly about tools that we can work with to become more conscious and work towards becoming who we must become to create the outcome we wish to see while also letting go of the outcome and timing.

Over the years from time to time I would summarize the practices that will help us become a living prayer. I wrote a short summary again in the November 2015 Transmutation News. For those of you who are new to the Transmutation News you might want to take a look at this short summary.

I have encouraged those who practice shamanic journeying and meditation to ask for guidance on how to make positive changes in our lives that feed our own health and the health of the Earth. But whether we engage in a shamanic journey for help, meditate to drop into our inner landscape and Source within, or pray you still have to do your work.

It does not matter what religion you follow and how you pray. All religions and prayers can be easily integrated into practices to live a more conscious way of life and embody your prayer work. The key is to DO the work, so we BECOME the pray and the work. And as we live such fast-paced lives and get so overwhelmed with what we see in the media my “mission” has been to keep us inspired and focused on how to be true positive conscious changemakers in our own lives and on the Earth.

The full moon is March 23. Let us continue to join together whether through prayer, meditation, or shamanic journeying to truly experience our own divine light. And let us together let that light shine forth within and throughout this exquisite Earth and touch all of life. The key again is to embody the light and not think about it as a mental concept. We must become the light.

For those of you who are new readers of the Transmutation News please read “Creating A Human Web of Light” on this site for instructions for our full moon ceremony.

We celebrate the Equinox on March 19 as we welcome in Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and Fall in the Southern Hemisphere. This is always a time of great change as we transition into these new powerful seasons where so much change in nature occurs.

march 2016 1200x630

To celebrate the Equinox, I would like us to continue to cultivate our Inner World and inner landscape. As we do this together, we feed the health of all of life and the Earth. We create a global garden within and without.

Check out places in your inner garden that need to go fallow and find new space to work in. Remember our inner garden has lots of spaciousness.

Bend down and put your fingers in the Earth. Feel the grains of soil and the richness of it. Run it through your fingers fully. Have fun with playing with the soil. Taste the soil and smell its rich fragrance. Imagine yourself walking barefoot on the soil truly connecting with the energy and heartbeat of your inner garden. If the soil is dry and hard then this is a sign you have been neglecting taking care of your Inner World. Remember indigenous people have such bright light and joy shining out of their eyes due to the rich Inner World they continue to cultivate.

Reflect on what your soil needs and what plants need to be removed that no longer serve you. Feel passion about doing this. Don’t think of it as work. Think of it as play and something that feeds and enriches your soul.

Think about the wild seeds that you want to scatter as you dance and move in your inner garden. Scatter seeds of good health, peace, love, light, harmony, and so on. Scatter seeds of your heart’s dream. Sing to the seeds so they know they are planted with love.

After you do this you might reach down and push the seeds gently into the soil. And then water them with love.

In the Southern Hemisphere it is time to honor those plants and trees that have given us great beauty. Feel the leaves and branches that are now dry and brittle. What was once alive and reflected so much beauty is now ready to return to the Earth to be composted into rich soil as your inner and outer Earth garden rests through the fall and winter. Notice what parts of your Inner World need to return to the Earth so your soil can regenerate and turn into rich earth that will embrace the seeds you plant when Spring cycles around for you again.

Visit your inner garden and put it to rest. Do whatever tending you feel called to do. Sing a song of gratitude for all that has brought great beauty into your life. Reflect on what you need to let go of in your ordinary life and what needs to be put to rest. Focus on how the soil in your inner garden feels and as you put your feet on the soil connect deeply with the change you feel the earth is going through during this seasonal change. You are nature. You can align yourself with the change in seasons by merging with the earth where you live and feel how your own body is changing and how you need to take care of yourself during the fall season.

Whether you are welcoming in spring or fall plant some herb seeds in a container inside and/or outside. Feed the plants that grow from these seeds with your love. Sing daily to the seeds. Talk to the plants as they grow strong out of the rich soil you planted the seeds in. Observe the growth over time and keep feeding your plant with love. And when the plant is grown eat the herbs. Reflect on how we eat the energy from the thoughts and energies we feed our inner and outer garden with.

Make a choice to be more diligent about paying attention to the energies we send to ourselves, others, into nature, and into the world. For in the end, we digest these into our bodies and into our own lives.

I join our global community in wishing all a joyous Equinox!
